1984 #1

1. What is the major theme of this novel? Why is this theme important to a teenager living in 2009?

the theme of the book named as 1984 is about the totaliterialism. totaliterialism is ruling people in a absolute way. everythings are depended on the goverment. people are having no choices of not accepting or not. in each home, there is a telescreen which keeps watching at the people. they observe what the people are doing. this explains that the technology is highly developed while the environemnt is not so developed. this is important to us since it makes us to learn and understand easily with totaliterialism. and also 1984 is the best book which describes the happening of that era. knowing the details of the totaliterialism can be a good way to approach to the past. also we could learn that now day's life is much more simple and comfotable than the past where all the people were not allowed to drink the real coffee, bread, blar razors, chocolates and everything else. since those products were not accepted. this book is really well described i guess.
